Property insurance is available at all levels, from individual citizens up to large companies. This is a basic insurance which aims to protect property against unforeseen or accidental events.
Insurance can be taken out against selected risks or ‘all risks’ (omitting a few exclusions). The latter covers all damages except those which are excluded by a specific clause in the policy conditions.
Property insurance protects against the consequences of incidents such as:
- Natural disasters (fire, flood, windstorm, hail, weight of snow, water damage, landslides, vehicle impact, objects falling, etc.)
- Theft and vandalism
